Take out is almost always on point! We've been going to Shiny for over 5 years, and I think we've only had one subpar experience that happened around the time they took a short hiatus before reopening. Highly recommend the Kung Pao Chicken, Crab Rangoons, and egg rolls.
The boba teas here are underrated and good. When I order take out it's always ready and super warm. Definitely recommend.
The food is the thing. If you have read my posts in the past you know I favor two things. Mom n Pop restaurants. Authentic food. This is the closest I have found in my food experience to Los Angeles Chinese food thus far. Let me tell you the portions are huge. You get great value for the dollar. The food is quite tasty. It is family run. The son is often out front running the order counter. The interior is clean and well kept. They have a great selection for items for you to choose from. I had the garlic chicken. My wife had her usual Kung Pao. Both were quite good. We ended up leaving with leftovers. This will be my go to spot from now on.
I love their bubble tea my favorite is coconut with added jelly. Very fast service. Im very picky about my Chinese food but I actually enjoy shiny woks food thankfully the meat isn't all rubbery like some places. I think my boyfriend and his family order here often.
Really good food and it's cooked to order, so it came out really hot, just the way I like it. I ordered the Moo Gai Pan & steamed pot stickers. So delicious. Give it a try. I didn't take a picture of my food because I ate it too fast. My order was to go and ordering was so easy.
This place is somewhat small but the food tastes good. Reminds me of authentic Chinese food in SF Chinatown. They don't rush cooking the food, so be patient b/c it's worth the wait
High marks for food quality and variety. Lower marks for ambience and food-prep speed. It is easy to see why 90% of their business is take-out or delivery. My Happy Family was very tasty, and the Fried Rice w Chicken was also good. The Chicken on Stick was even better; I would rate is excellent in every way!
Staff was very nice. Seems like a very sweet family run place. Food was great! We had egg rolls, crab Rangoon and dumplings for appetizers. Then we had pork lo mein and cashew chicken as entrees..
Food hot and fresh every time. Service was friendly,clean and helpful I would definitely recommend this spot.
